We have just finished a course provided free through the local council. It was entitled Learning Through Music.
It was a really interesting course which looked at the ways in which children listen and respond to music and sound. With some very interesting facts about children who are exposed to music in early life and how they learn better and are more advanced in problem solving and Reading skills. For example children who can tap out a beat are proven to be better at problem solving!
Its been amazing to spend time with the Children and learn together, and Termite has really benefited from it as well, she now dances at the faintest hint of music and can be calmed easily with a song.
So this week I would like to say Thankyou for the music (see what I did there, I couldn't resist)
