Teletubbies Saving The Day!

Today we were all supposed to be heading off to a 'Breakfast with the Easter bunny' event but Termite decided Friday evening would be a great time to catch chicken pox

The Night The Chicken Pox Appeared!

So mammy and Termite stayed home and I won't lie she was mighty miserable, remembering that we had been sent some toys to review, this mammy did what any desperate Mammy would..... distraction with gifts! I know I know not my best parenting moment but look how miserable she was, and look how happy our new teletubbies made her...

We were asked to review these new Twist n Chime figures, which make jingling bell sounds when you twist them, great for motor skills and problem solving and perfect for little hands, these are £4.99 each so a great alternativegift to an Easter Egg.

Also this lovely talking plush, softer than ever and they say little tubbie catchphrases when you squeeze them, priced at £9.99 with four to collect . Ours is a firm favourite and we got ages of play with them whilst also taking advantage of today's gorgeous sunshine

These toys are available from Argos and there is currently up to 25% off

Do you have a Teletubbie fan in your house, what do you think of these new toys?

Teletubbies, Entertainment for Generations

We love Teletubbies and I certainly remember how popular they were first time around so I'm very pleased that they are back on the TV and my kids can watch them, Termite is a huge fan of her Teletubbies toys and really loved this latest  Teletubbies Pull and Play Noo Noo,

'This giant electronic activity centre is packed with features! It has a 6-piece shape sorter and 3D Teletubbies character jigsaw to encourage problem solving and coordination. Noo-noo even picks up the magnetic custard splat, and makes custard slurping sound effects as it is pulled along- just like on the show! Press the buttons on the top for different Teletubbies speech and sound effects. Noo-noo has funny googly eyes and a spinning brush and is part of the new range from Character'

Here is Termite showing you how it works.....

Now then at £49.99 this aint cheap! But here are our thoughts...

We Love

  • The Storage! Oh so many toys have bits that have no places to be kept and then they get lost and aaaaargh it bugs me so much, but with the handy little storage bit this toy is neat and tidy!
  • Education - it has lights and sounds and colours, so many options for education play, great for problem solving and colour recognition and shape definition
  • It's robust
  • It is easily able to be played with by more than one child in an engaging manner
  • the sound effect are familiar to little people who have watched the show
Room for Improvement?
  • Batteries! Petty I know but I have this thing about toymakers not including batteries in their toys!

Unboxing The Newly Launched Teletubbies Toys

If you are a parent of any child under about 4 then you will not have missed the 2015 return of Teletubbies, if you just read that sentence and said o yourself 'return, what's she on about, Teletubbies are new' then honestly you are blessed by youth and I hate you! No I'm joking I dont hate you but I am old enough to remember the hoo hah of trying to get Teletubbies toys for younger cousins when they sold out EVERYWHERE.

We were privileged when Character asked us to be a Teletubbies reviewer! Its been so hush hush though that I couldn't reveal the toys we would be reviewing until now....

Our talking plush, Po and Tinky Winky are absolute favourites with termite (and the big kids) they are super soft but have firm faces which makes them feel really real, if that makes sense? They aren't just like normal soft toys and I really think Termite believes Po is now her bestie! Priced at £9.99 I think these are really reasonable and would make the perfect gift.

The smaller plush we recieved is great for bed time, super soft and no distracting noises, and priced at £6.99 i think this is a great toy for kids to save up for and purchase themselves. Even better value for money are the collectable figures with a single at £3.99 but a family pack at £9.99 with all of the figures in means lots to play with and whilst the boring adult part of my brain always screams 'They are bits of plastic !!!!' The mummy part of my brain knows that kids get so much from fre platy with toys like this, so far the teletubbies have met the playmobil babies in the mansion, they have played hide and seek and they've had a disco (that last one was Peanuts idea!) They are really sturdy and great fun.

I'm quite taken with the Teletubbies range and I already have my eye on this fab Laugh and Giggle Po for Termites birthday, I think she will love it

If youd like to know more and even be in with a chance of winning some Teletubbies goodies keep an eye on our Facebook page for details of the upcoming Teletubbies UKMums.tv twitter frenzy coming soon.

We're going on an adventure
