Thankful Thursday Week 23

Oh My what a time we have had, Last week my Thankful Thursday Post had some sort of bug and refused to work! This week we have been once again without internet thanks to EE and their not quite seamless switch over! So anyone who tried to link up I send many many apologies to you we are hopefully fully funtioning this week but this will be the last Thursday post until July as we have a very busy time in Monkeyfeet HQ.

I hope you have all had a great week and I can't wait to catch up on my fix of gratitude.

Tinterweb!

I remember a conversation when I was around 15 (thats around 20 years ago you nosey lot)  with an IT Manager, who was the Dad of one of my friends. He described the Internet as boring and slow with not much to offer! Can you imagine?

I also remember hearing the dial up tone waiting to connect to try to research my university work, and the feeling of dread if you got disconnected, that wait all over again!

This week I have written reviews, planned holidays, booked appointments, done banking, shopped, helped with homework, and connected with friends. All thanks to the Internet ! So this week I'm going to say a great big thankyou for the internet, it makes the world a smaller place and an easier one to manage when you have a busy life.

Thankful Thursday, well really, Thankful Friday Week 8!

Some of you will have noticed the absence of my usual Thankful Thursdays Linky. Well  at least one, Thankyou Clare from Emmy's Mummyand Harry's Too!

This week has not been a good one, ignoring the fact that we have been housebound in the half term because of chicken pox, and that Mummy has been struck with a two week virus.... We lost internet connection!!!!! 

So this weeks Thanks is slightly different (and much later) than I had planned because yesterday I discovered how hard it is to create a linky on a phone! Or in my case not actually possible. So I've happily been able to access Facebook and Twitter but no real internet. Whilst normally I'd have happily tootled to my local coffee shop and posted from there using lovely free Wifi, not so during  my half term pox prison! 

So this week I am thankful for my home Wifi!

I realise this is a very 'first world problem' but I'm very aware of how much easier my life is with internet at home.
