Green Earth Friying Pan By Ozeri Review

I've loved the look of these pans ever since I read a review over on Outnumbered Mum so I was very excited to be asked to test one.

The pan has a really heavy feel to it, which made me think immediately it will be great for making my Roti bread. It's a really cool colour and totally matches my current colour scheme!

I decided to try making an omelette in it mostly because I'm really rubbish at making decent looking omelettes. They always stick and end up in several bits, normally the pan gets the blame!

I set to making my current favourite of Red Pepper and Feta. First I fried off some onion and pepper in few squirts of Fry Light Olive Oil. Then while they were softening I whisked up 6 eggs and crumbled in some feta. When the onions and peppers were soft I poured over the eggy mix, stirring it in the pan for a few minutes then left it to cook flipped it halfway and they sliced it to serve three of us for lunch.

Well I'm pleased to say the omelette made it in one piece and the pan is still non stick, it wiped clean effortlessly with a soft cloth looked as good as new and was ready to go again in no time!

The price is comparable with many big brands on the market and at £23.99 I think it's worth the money, I would really like to collect a set of these now especially this Wok

Christmas Gift Guide, Turtlemeter by Ozeri

If you have a mum to be or baby/young child to buy for this this Christmas I think this is a great gift. I will admit that I wasn't sure how much enthusiasm I could put into a review of a bath thermometer! I mean you chuck them in the bath check the temperature, throw your kids in and try not to get soaked right?

So I surprised myself when I actually squealed in delight on first use of this thermometer! No I'm not joking at all, but let me start at the beginning

The Turtlemeter is made by Ozeri and sold on amazon for £9.99. It arrived in easy to open moulded plastic so no cutting involved. It's a lovel size and has a really cute face. The kids loved it and it was played with for quite a while before it even made it to the bathroom.

There was I sitting in my bath totally forgetting the turtle when The Golden Child ran in shouting 'mammy mammy can the turtle come in, this of course was accompanied by the removal of clothes so I knew my peaceful wallow was about to be destroyed. In came the turtle, and the monkeyfooted ones. Thats when I squealed, it activates as soon as it hits the water and the colour light immediately let's you know if it's safe. Blue for cold, red for hot and Green for just right. It updates it's reading every second so is totally accurate. Its alos so fun we kept lifting him out so he went off the plunging him back in again! Such fun!

See our video here....

I can't think of any drawbacks to this, it's fun, well made, and the kids love it. Actually scrap that the one drawback is the kids love it so much I may never bathe in peace again (as if I didn't lose that privilege when I became a mum)

We were sent this turtle free of charge to reveiw, but all opinions are those of family monkeyfeet

Ozeri kitchen scales review

I'm a bit of fan of baking,  even more now that I've succumbed to watching The Great British Bake Off! But I'm also a list checker and rule follower so I like to ensure I follow a recipe accurately when it comes to baking cakes. This to me means three things, I need good scales, lots of bowls so everything is ready to go, and a timer so I'm spot on.  Well no one wants a soggy bottom or a mushy muffin do they?

So with the husbands 40th birthday looming I set to work in the kitchen using my new Ozeri kitchen scales, now these boast the ability to weigh in various units and also have a timer. So I was excited to see if I could throw away my dodgy mechanical scales and old kitchen timer...

These scales are easy to use, everything is fairly clear and a unit change from ounces to grammes, pounds or kilogrammes is a simple push of a button, and resetting to zero is another button. They weigh up to 12lb and switch themselves off after 3 minutes so no fear of me running the batteries down because of my mummy brain!

In no time at all we had our ingredients weighed and ready for action very soon we would be looking at a beautiful Bero Recipe chocolate cake..

The scales are large enough to hold most bowl sizes and still enable a good view of the screen, yet small enough that they don't take up loads of space in the cupboard.

The instructions are easy to follow and so the timer was easy to set with just a couple of buttons and it can count up or down, with an audible, visible or combined alarm. Overall I have no bad points to mention, these are great value scales and do exactly what they are supposed to with the benefit of also having an in built timer.

I'm quite impressed and will be looking at investing in other Ozeri products, I especially have my eye on their beautiful looking cookware. You can fins Ozeri on Facebook

Back to the cake, I can tell you it tasted fabulous but after allowing a 3 and 4 year  old decorate it, well I won't be winning star baker! But there was a lot of pride here in monkey towers!

Ozeri kindly sent us these scales to review but the opinions in this post are all those of Family Monkeyfeet.
