Portable North Pole - Why We Love This Service

For the last few years we have been using Portable North Pole and we love it so much, in the few years we have been using it the service has improved year on year adding new features and little extras. Like, more video styles, reaction cam, an app for your phone, stories and even phone calls from Santa

This year we were invited to review the magic pass again and we were also gifted this amazing Do Good Elf  She is part of a range of toys available from John Lewis

The idea is that you teach your 'baby elf' to 'do Good' things, and this in turn encourages your children to show kindness and good behaviour. The elf retails at £20 but I have to tell you she is amazing quality, is pose able and every toy includes a special code that will give you access to an exclusive personalised video

Check out our video here..

'Stella' Has been having fun with our other Christmas visitors, and the kids all really love her. The golden child said 'I do love Stella, but we mustn't make more fuss of her than our other elves or that wouldn't teach her very good kindness would it' He is truly the sweetest thing

We have now watched our first Portable North Pole videos, and recorded our reactions...

The thing I love most is how brilliantly each video is customised, technically they are really simple details like photos or standard questions, but to small people (and even me if I'm honest) it just adds to the magic of Christmas, and its the magic that makes everything feel more special

I love that the app records your kids reaction, but it also includes a kids area and a parents area containing, stories, movies, games

PNP Magic Pass costs  £10.99 and Video Pass is £7.99 The magic pass includes : Unlimited videos, Weekly bedtime stories, HD downloads and Reaction Recorder, The video Pass is Unlimited videos and Reaction Recorder. Every pass that is purchased on the site includes a donation to a children's charity as well. We love this service and we will use it again next year, you can even make more grown up versions of the video with funny messages in like this one .....

Have you used PNP before?

Portable North Pole

It's December and that can only mean 1 thing.... It is time for Portable North Pole, youve probably already seen our facebook post ...

Yes we have already all received messages from Santa! Obviously Mammy is a good girl and will be getting a holiday for Christmas, ha ha I highly doubt that but making the video was lots of giggles!

And here are the kids reactions to their videos

We have been using PNP for around 5 years now and we love love love it, this year we have installed the app on my phone which comes with loads of kids activities you can make your videos and calls on there and they have the new #ReactionRecorder basically while the Santa video plays, your child is recorded its kind of like a screen in screen but you can then save the video which i think is an awesome idea. The app is really easy to download and use and if you buy the Magic Pass for £9.99 you can make unlimited videos from a huge choice of themes including Birthdays, Christmas Eve and a simple message, you can receive calls from Santa. You get HD downloads of all your videos and there is a new story from Sanat every week of Decemer!

Its really excellent value for money and for us, our Santa videos are a real Monkeyfeet family tradition it always starts the excitement and spirit of Chrismas for us, and with Peanut having a December birhday she is especially excited for her Birthday message.

Portable North Pole Really Does Make Christmas Magic

Imagine a video message from Santa addressing your child by NAME and telling them if they are on the nice or naughty list.... Well that's exactly what Portable North Pole (PNP) is all about. So when I was asked to take a look at their Premium Service I was very excited.

The service is easy to use, simply log in or register then choose who you are having the video made for, and choose, naughty, nice or a bit of both. There is a free version where you can a add photos,  a special event and information about what the child is trying to do, for example we had Santa say to Peanut ' I hear you are working hard to control your temper' which is so relevant at the moment and something we are all working on together. With the premium version you can add extra scenes and more photographs of events. Creating the video took about 10 minutes which to me is just right any longer and I start to give up a little and rush through things.

Peanut and The Golden Child Watching the video

The kids loved watching the video and at the risk of sounding like the most evil mum in the world... I now have the perfect tool to nip any naughtiness in the bud. 'Right Mammy is calling Santa, because remember he said you have to work harder to make it onto the nice list!'. and yes it does work

I'm fully aware that soon the years will come where my children no longer believe but just for now this has been the perfect bit of Christmas Magic. At £2.99 the premium version is well worth the money, we had Santa mention our new arrival, with a picture of Termite, he spoke of our trip to see Grandad complete with a lovely photo and there were lots of extra scenes, plus for my lovely monkeyfeet fans there is 20%% off with code BLG20BKP
